The participation of lay people is significant with around many members volunteering to serve as sidespeople, or to read lessons and lead intercessions. There is a team of Lay Eucharistic Assistants and numerous small teams take responsibility for the different aspects of ministry which each play a vital part in regular worship - music, bell-ringing, praying, coffee & tea, book & tape library, sound system & recordings, flowers & brass, cleaning, grass-cutting, maintenance, administration, etc..
